My life has always been about the art with-in it, from the beauty of the natural world to the things we create-the work and teaching I do is an extension of that. By using a multitude of mediums I've tried to capture all the meaningful moments that life has to offer and like the natural world as well as the one we've created, things are constantly changing-an aspect you're guaranteed to find with my work and style. My career in the arts started in the early 2000s finding myself constantly drawn to the creative fields but wasn't truly able to direct my focus until college where I studied the Arts and started working in photography and management positions where I was able to mix both passion with career. Moving slowly into group shows and eventually solo shows and finally into teaching the arts to others! Crescent Iris came along after a long debate in changing my ideas and art from a personal stretch of eclectic concepts to a singular collective brand. The Crescent Iris namesake came from a freak accent causing blindness to one of my eyes along side losing most of the eye itself. The crescent shape left of my iris in a now new world with even more challenges creating the identity you see today. Navigating the world with monovision is challenging enough but my love of art and the visual world only honed my drive and passion further and in so came the birth of Crescent Iris. In my life of personal and professional years working in art and this site I hope to be able to better share my ideas and passions to create while connect with you all more!
